We were able to hang out with some of our favorite authors, get our hands on some coveted ARCs (Advanced Reading Copies), and best of all, tell thousands of book lovers about The IF List and how it works!

… impossible to choose! We chatted with and got our books signed by authors like Sylvia Day, Abbi Glines, Richelle Mead, Marissa Meyer, J.L. Armentrout and H.M. Ward. With such an amazing line up, who could pick a favorite?

Ms. Abbi Glines, who is looking absolutely stunning in this photo, is the author of While It Lasts and we got a signed copy of her yet to be released book When I’m Gone. We’re all excited about the movie adaptation of While It Lasts that’s in the works starring Addam Bramich as Cage York! No word on who will play Eva yet, so start casting those brunettes with big eyes on The IF List >>

We got to chat with the mind behind the Lunar Chronicles, Marissa Meyer, while she was signing copies of her new bridge book between Cress and Winter in which Queen Levana’s story is finally told! Our New BFF’s Are…
Meredith Wild, Julia Crane, and Nely Cab! They’ve been our long time virtual buddies, but now that we met them we love them even more!
We definitely want to see Hardwired by Meredith Wild, Fractured Innocence by Julia Crane, and Creatura by Nely Cab as movies or TV shows! Support them all on The IF List!
The one to watch is…
Lawrence M. Schoen, the Nebula Award Nominated author of Barsk: The Elephant’s Graveyard!

Mr. Schoen came to visit our booth at BEA and told us how much he loved The IF List! He was so nice and funny that we’re sure Barsk is too! Barsk, which is an upcoming Sci-Fi novel published by Tor, comes out December 15th. You can Pre-order and dream cast Barsk here >> 
Our other favorite break outs were Cleopatra’s Shadows by Emily Holleman (due October 6th, 2015) and Updraft by Fran Wilde (out September 1st)! Two very talented ladies!
The actor turned author of the week is:
Mindy Kaling! We had to wait in a pretty long line to get to chat with the star of “The Mindy Project” but she was worth it. Kaling is just as upbeat in person as she is on her show and we were so excited to receive an advanced excerpt of her new book, Why Not Me.

We also loved seeing Dylan Minette (Scandal), Julianne Moore (Still Alice), and Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network) in person!

We’re Forever Fans Of…
Goosebumps! R.L. Stein and the two stars of the new Goosebumps movie, Dylan Minette and Ryan Lee sat down to discuss the upcoming film at BookCon. At the end of the discussion, we got to see an advanced screening of the trailer and it looks fantastic!

The concept for the film is unique from the 90’s TV show. Instead of focusing on one of Stein’s many stories, the movie features all of them! Jack Black plays R.L. Stein himself, a mysterious writer who isn’t very friendly with the neighbors. We find out why when Minette and Lee’s characters accidentally unleash all the monsters from Stein’s various stories and must stop them! It feels a little like a modern day Jumanji – a little scary, a little humorous, and a whole lot of fun!
The Most Fun BookCon Photo Op…
Would have to be a tie between the incredibly life-like cut out of George R.R. Martin (Game of Thrones), the free hot dogs plus men dressed as hot dogs for the graphic novel, Galactic Hot Dogs, and the all pink Madison K booth!
The Most Exciting BEA/BookCon Booth was…
